evalag (Evaluationsagentur Baden-Württemberg) wurde im Jahr 2000 als Stiftung des öffentlichen Rechts gegründet. Mit den durchgeführten Verfahren hat sich evalag mittlerweile als Kompetenzzentrum für Qualitätssicherung und Qualitätsentwicklung profiliert. Neben ausgewiesener Expertise auf den Gebieten der fachbezogenen hochschulübergreifenden Evaluation, der institutionellen Evaluation, der Strukturevaluation sowie der anlassbezogenen Evaluation liegt der Fokus der Agentur seit 2007 insbesondere im Bereich der institutionellen Qualitätssicherung. Hier unterstützt evalag Hochschulen und andere wissenschaftliche Einrichtungen bei der Einführung und Weiterentwicklung ihres Qualitätsmanagements.

Through its procedures evalag has meanwhile gained a reputation as a centre of excellence for quality assurance and quality enhancement. Since 2007 the focus of the agency lies in the area of the institutional quality assurance, beside the approved expertise in the fields of the evaluation of subjects, institutional evaluation and other evaluation procedures. evalag supports higher education institutions and other scientific institutions with the introduction and further development of quality management.

The Office of University Evaluation at Arizona State University is a research and service facility which focuses primarily on assessing and improving the effectiveness of the university's academic programs. We also conduct studies to help support administrative decision making and planning. To help accomplish these goals, the office conducts, coordinates, and manages annual and ad hoc research projects. These projects help assess the degree to which courses, curricula, and academic programs impart knowledge to students. These projects also help inform ASU about the student experience. The results of these studies, or assessments, are used to enhance the intellectual integrity of an ASU education and to improve ASU's effectiveness.

Its main functions are to evaluate the efficiency and the effectiveness of the universities' activities, to verify the development plans and to analize the situation of the Italian university system. The Council is an independent body which interacts autonomously with the universities and the Ministry. The Council relates to the Minister and to the relevant parliamentary Commissions. The Council has a technical and administrative secretarial office, it has its own budget and may appoint teams of experts or specialized external bodies the task of specific researches and studies.
