Cathexis is the positive channelling of energy. Cathexis Consulting Inc. combines two former consultancies: McGuire Associate Consultants and Zorzi & Associates. This project is intended to work with a coalition of evaluators and evaluation organizations to provide evaluation, consulting or training resources to organizations and evaluators in developing countries.

The Improve Group helps organizations deliver effective services with timely, valid and meaningful data. The Improve Group is nationally recognized for top-quality products (instruments, data sets, reports) and a process that is respectful and participatory. We work in a variety of disciplines, believing that methods developed in partnership with one organization can inform our other projects. The Improve Group is based in Minnesota and currently serves clients in Colorado, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin and Washington. Our clients are national non-profits, local, state and federal governments, and community non-profits. One of our key talents is helping our clients translate abstract concepts and goals into pragmatic research questions, methods and analysis. For example, our work in arts education has helped several arts organizations demonstrate the real value of their efforts in terms of academic achievement and social adjustments. Our work in corrections has helped States balance recidivism data with much richer data about quality of life and behavioral changees. Our work in health and human services has blended system eligibility and payment information with data collected directly from participant records, case managers and service providers to help local communities develop services that meet federal standards and address the needs of their local community.
