SPEC Associates is a nonprofit research and evaluation organization located in downtown Detroit. Originally established in 1980, SPEC Associates provides research services that help organizations become more effective at helping people. SPEC provides high-quality information services to government agencies, non-profit organizations, and foundations.

SPEC Associates offers a variety of research services, including need assessments, process and outcome evaluation research, surveys and focus group interviewing.

Since 1985, we have successfully conducted evaluations ranging from large, multi-state and multi-site community leadership programs to small, non-profit education and human services programs. We practice a utilization-focused approach, working closely with our clients to answer significant questions and provide information that can immediately be put to use in improving outcomes. We use a wide variety of methods, both quantitative and qualitative. Current and past clients include major foundations, colleges and universities, multi-sector collaboratives, and a wide range of non-profit agencies.

ECDG is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to developing evaluation capacity within nonprofits through tools, resources, and communication that facilitates nonprofit organizations meeting their mission.
