The United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) is a professional network that brings together the units responsible for evaluation in the UN system including the specialized agencies, funds, programmes and affiliated organisations. UNEG aims to strengthen the objectivity, effectiveness and visibility of the evaluation function across the UN system and to advocate the importance of evaluation for learning, decision making and accountability. UNEG provides a forum for members to share experiences and information, discuss the latest evaluation issues and promote simplification and harmonisation of reporting practices.

The DAC Network on Development Evaluation brings together representatives from thirty bilateral and multilateral development agencies. They work together on improving evaluation for more effective development assistance.
DAC work on development evaluation started in 1982 with the creation of an Expert Group which was then replaced by the DAC Working Party on Aid Evaluation. Since March 2003, this work is carried out by the DAC Network on Development Evaluation. The Network provides a forum where evaluation experts and managers from 30 bilateral and multilateral development agencies meet regularly to improve the practice and use of evaluation in development assistance.

Dansk EvalueringsSelskab (DES) er en forening for personer og institutioner, der arbejder med evaluering. The society was founded in year 2000. It is a platform for exchange of experience as well as for discussion of evaluation related questions such as: new development within theory and practice; utilisation of evaluation findings; professional development; standards for good evaluation practice.

Finnish Evaluation Society (FES) was founded in 1999. The aim of the society is to advance and maintain the knowledge on evaluation research and evaluation practices in Finland.

The main goal of the SEE is to contribute to the development of an evaluation culture in Spain. SEE is open to all professionals with different approaches in the evaluation field.

The Australasian Evaluation Society (AES) is a professional organisation for people involved in evaluation. The AES has almost 800 (Jan. 2008) members involved in all aspects of evaluation and performance measurement. Members include evaluation practitioners, managers, teachers and students from all levels of government, educational institutions, research agencies, community organisations, businesses and other interested individuals.

Dedicated to the advancement of evaluation theory and practice. In the field of evaluation, the Society promotes: Leadership; Knowledge; Advocacy; Professional Development. The CES has members in every Province and Territory in Canada. The South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA), which has been founded in November 2005, strives to cultivate a vibrant community that will support, guide and strengthen the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) as an important discipline, profession and instrument for empowerment and accountability in South Africa. Through this it intends to promote the recognition of M&E as a profession and discipline essential to development, and practiced and used in a manner that adds significant value to effective, sustainable development in South Africa.
SAMEA embodies the formalisation of the South African Evaluation Network (SAENet), which was established in 2002.

The Swiss Evaluation Society's goal is to foster the exchange of information and experience in the field of evaluation between politics, administration, academia, NGOs and the private sector. The SEVAL actively engages in improving the quality of evaluation and its diffusion.
About 300 members represent a number of different positions in the field of evaluation: they work as evaluators for commissioned evaluations, as evaluation commissioner, they teach courses or counsel commissioners as evaluation experts.

The American Evaluation Association is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. AEA has members representing all 50 states in the US as well as over 60 foreign countries.
