Das Zentrum für Evaluation und Methoden (ZEM), Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, ist 1999 von Prof. Dr. Georg Rudinger (Lehrstuhl für Methodenlehre, Statistik und EDV des Psychologischen Institutes) gegründet worden. Schwerpunkte unseres Forschungsgebietes sind Evaluation und Medien-, Sozial- und Marktforschung. ***** Prof. Georg Rudinger (Head of Methodology Research, Statistics and Computing at the Institute for Psychology) founded the Center for Evaluation and Methods at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitaet Bonn in 1999. Our key research areas are evaluation, media as well as social and market research.

Vorrangig führt Univation Evaluationen durch und begleitet sie. Außerdem forscht Univation über Evaluation und bildet darin weiter. Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen dieser drei Tätigkeitsfelder werden integriert, um höchste Leistungsqualität zu erreichen.

Univation is primarily specialised in carrying out evaluations. Furthermore, evaluation research as well as training in the field of evaluation is done. To reach high quality, experiences from all three fields of activity are integrated.

Das Centrum für Evaluation ist ein sowohl forschendes als auch einen hohen Selbstfinanzierungsanteil anstrebendes Institut im Bereich Evaluation am Lehrstuhl Professor Stockmann der Fakultät für empirische Humanwissenschaften der Universität des Saarlandes. Es leistet einen Beitrag zur konzeptionellen und methodischen Weiterentwicklung der Evaluationsforschung und zur verstärkten Durchführung und Nutzung von Evaluationen in Deutschland: Das Centrum für Evaluation
(1) betreibt Grundlagenforschung, indem es theoretische und methodische Grundlagen sowie fachlich-wissenschaftliche Standards für die Evaluation von Programmen und Maßnahmen erarbeitet
(2) fördert Evaluationskompetenz, indem es Qualifizierungsmaßnahmen entwickelt und anbietet
(3) führt anwendungsbezogene Auftragsarbeiten und Beratungen im Bereich Evaluation durch
(4) fördert den fachlichen Informationsaustausch im Themenbereich Evaluation.
Mit diesem integrierten Aufgabenspektrum stellt das CEval eine in Deutschland einmalige Ausbildungs-, Forschungs- und Dienstleistungseinrichtung dar.

CEval is a research institute in the field of evaluation, operated under the professorship of Prof. Stockmann within the University of the Saarland's Faculty of Applied Human Sciences.
CEval contributes to the advancement of evaluation research and the increased implementation and utilisation of evaluations in Germany by:
(1) Undertaking fundamental research, developing theoretical and methodological principles as well as professional scientific standards for the evaluation of programmes and measures
(2) promoting evaluation expertise, through the development and provision of qualification schemes
(3) carrying out commissioned applied work and consultation in the field of evaluation
(4) promoting professional information exchange in the area of evaluation.
With this integrated range of activities, CEval constitutes an educational, research and service institute in the field of evaluation that is unique in Germany.
