To promote dialogue internationally and to build bridges within the expanding evaluation field, "Evaluation - The International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice" was launched in July 1995.
"Evaluation" is interdisciplinary, bringing together contributions from across the social sciences and related disciplines.
The journal publishes multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and issue-based contributions.
"Evaluation" encourages dialogue between different evaluation traditions such as program evaluation, technology assessment, auditing, value-added studies, policy evaluation and quality assessment.
Edited from a European base, "Evaluation" is an international journal which promotes exchange between European, North American, Asian and Australasian voices within the evaluation community.
Published four times per annum.

XCeval, founded in May 2004, is a mailing list for persons interested in issues associated with international and cross-cultural evaluation. Many of the postings are announcements of short-term consultancies or full-time positions in international M&E-related jobs. Also exchanges of ideas of current interest to persons involved in the evaluation of international development. It was initially set up for the International and Cross-Cultural Topical Interest Group of the American Evaluation Association. For this mailing list, yahoo-groups software is used.

The focus of the NetworkEvaluation mailing list is on the exchange of information about:
- Methodologies for, and experiences of, the evaluation of networks,
- The use of social network analysis in international development aid projects,
- Wider references on network analysis that relates to these tasks.
This mailing list is an extension of the Networks section of Monitoring and Evaluation NEWS at http://www.mande.co.uk. It is managed by Rick Davies.

The South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA), which has been founded in November 2005, strives to cultivate a vibrant community that will support, guide and strengthen the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) as an important discipline, profession and instrument for empowerment and accountability in South Africa. Through this it intends to promote the recognition of M&E as a profession and discipline essential to development, and practiced and used in a manner that adds significant value to effective, sustainable development in South Africa.
SAMEA embodies the formalisation of the South African Evaluation Network (SAENet), which was established in 2002.

The Uganda Evaluation Association (UEA) was registered in 2002 as a professional association and national chapter of the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA). The Association operates in partnership and close collaboration with government institutions and various international organizations to consolidate and strengthen evaluation capacity in Uganda.
