The DAC Working Party on Aid Evaluation (WP-EV) has developed this glossary of key terms in evaluation and results-based management because of the need to clarify concepts and to reduce the terminological confusion frequently encountered in these areas.

Mit dem Glossar sollen die Klarheit der Evaluationsfachsprache sowie die Kommunikation unter Fachpersonen und an Evaluation Beteiligten gefördert werden. Unsere Vorschläge zur Fachterminologie sind damit öffentlich zugänglich und sollen diskutiert werden, verbunden mit der Hoffnung auf vielfältige Anregungen zur Weiterentwicklung. Für Anregungen zu neuen Glossareinträgen steht die Eval-Wiki: Glossar-Werkstatt zur Verfügung.
Im Herbst 2010 wurde das "Eval-Wiki: Glossar der Evaluation" erstmals als Wiki veröffentlicht. Seine Inhalte basieren auf dem 2009 in 2. Printauflage erschienenen Glossar „A-B-C der wirkungsorientierten Evaluation“ mit damals rund 370 Begriffen.
Neben dem deutschen Terminus enthält das Online-Glossar eine englische und französische Übersetzung, eine Definition des Begriffs mit Literaturnachweisen sowie die wiki-typische Querverweise zu verbundenen Fachbegriffen.
